Local Outreach at BGC

Our Mission for Local Outreach
BGC Local Outreach exists to equip and mobilize the people of Brandywine Grace Church to live “as sent” - engaging our community with the gospel through relationships, events, and everyday conversations. Everything we do flows from our calling to reach unbelievers with the gospel, build believers up in gospel maturity, and release disciples to live out the mission of Jesus wherever he leads.
Our Vision for Local Outreach
We long to see our community transformed by the gospel as ordinary believers live on mission. Local Outreach is how we join God’s work in our community by loving our neighbors, building meaningful relationships, and sharing the good news of Jesus, which is the power of God for salvation.
Reach
We want our neighbors to experience the love of Christ long before they walk through our doors. Throughout the year, we host events designed to bless our community, create natural connection points, invite unbelieving friends, and expose people to Jesus and his people. Whether it’s sharing laughter at A Time To Laugh, celebrating the resurrection together at Easter at Kerr Park, enjoying the fun of Trunk or Treat, or showing up at Downingtown gatherings like Fall Fest and Summer Jam, these events help us build meaningful relationships that open doors for gospel conversations.
Build
Living on mission requires confidence, not in ourselves, but in the gospel. We offer training opportunities to help believers grow in prayerful dependence on God, dispel common fears that keep Christians from sharing their faith, and equip men and women to open God’s Word with others. Our “I’ve Got Good News” seminar, held two times a year, and our REACH Evangelism Training provide practical tools and biblical encouragement for sharing Christ with clarity and compassion.
Release
Releasing disciples means helping ordinary believers take courageous, everyday steps toward making disciples of others. We intentionally resource those who are eager to grow while offering support, guidance, and pathways for people who want to engage more deeply in gospel mission. We equip believers to share their testimonies simply and powerfully, and we work to expand the REACH team each year so that more people are trained, encouraged, and supported in personal evangelism.

Our hope is that the vision of BGC Local Outreach doesn’t stay in one ministry lane, but flows into the entire life of the church, shaping how every ministry thinks, prays, and engages the world around us.
